Preliminary Program Thursday, September 23, 2004: Introductory Crash Course Professors from universities in Vienna and experts from the industry will give an introductory crash course for those who are not yet experts in the field of asset-liability management for insurance companies, especially with respect to mathematical concepts and methods. This half-day series of lectures is held in German. Friday, September 24, 2004: Practitioner's Day The second day will feature a range of sessions with experts from the industry in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The sessions will be held in English, in order to enable non-German speakers to take part in the discussions. Saturday, September 25, 2004: Day of "Cutting Edge Research" The third day will feature sessions with internationally renowned academic researchers in the field of mathematical methods in insurance.
